SS Rajamouli to direct Ranbir-Katrina

Ace director SS Rajamouli, who wrote a history at the box-office with Magadheera, is all set to remake the film in Bollywood. He has chosen Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif for the lead roles, which were played by Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the original.

It is reported that SS Rajamouli was keen to cast Aamir Khan in the lead role. He approached him last month to discuss about the film but the actor, who saw the movie, refused to act in the film, as he felt that the role does not fit him. Later, Rajamouli offered the role to Hrithik Roshan but he also turned down the proposal.

After considering biggies, SS Rajamouli finally zeroed in on Ranbir Kapoor and roped in Katrina Kaif to play his love interest for the epic tale. It may be recalled that their chemistry has worked well in their earlier movies Raajneeti and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. However, Allu Aravind, who produced the original version, is producing jointly with Madhu Mantena.
