RGV not rechristening Bejawada Rowdilu

Ram Gopal Varma's yet another movie is making news for all the wrong reasons. His upcoming Telugu film Bejawada Rowdilu, which is based on the real life rivalry between two politicians, has irked the people of Vijayawada (formerly known as Bejawada) and they are demanding him to change the title. But the filmmaker is not keen to rechristen the film.

Sarvodaya Mandali, a Gandhian organization, and several social groups are against the film claiming that it will disturb the the peaceful atmosphere and harmony of Vizag. Last week, they successfully brought in cancellation order from Vijayawada Police Commissioner Amit Garg. Now, they are objecting the movie title, as it will show the coastal city in a bad taste.

However, Ram Gopal Varma is adamant about that and has said that he would not change the title of the film. Meanwhile, the protesters have also approached the Film Chamber to instruct the filmmaker to change the title of the film.
