Charmy Kaur replaces Lakshmi Rai in Nagarjuna's Damarukam

Actress Charmy Kaur has replaced Lakshmi Rai in the item number 'Sakku Bhai' in director Srinivasa Reddy's upcoming film Damarukam. She has already danced with Akkineni Nagarjuna in movies like Mass and Ragada. Now, she is all set to shake her legs with the King of Tollywood for the third time.

Recently, it was reported that actress Lakshmi Rai would perform the item song in the movie Damarukam. In an interview with a leading English daily, Lakshmi herself had admitted that the producer of the film had approached her. But she had said that she was yet to sign to dance with Nagarjuna in the folk song.

But now, reports suggest that Charmy Kaur is sharing screen space with Nagarjuna in the item song 'Sakku Bhai'. Sources reveal that Nagarjuna has recommended the actress for the dance number. But the producers are yet to make clear on why they dropped Lakshmi Rai from the item song.

However, 'Sakku Bhai', which has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad, is currently being shot on a lavish set erected at Annapurna Studios. Charmy Kaur even posted a picture of Nag and her on her Twitter page. Talking to an English daily, Nagarjuna said that he has shaved off his French beard for this song and he would grow it back to stay in character for his upcoming romcom.
