Hyderabad:
Director
Apoorva
Lakhia
has
revealed
that
the
shooting
of
his
upcoming
bilingual
movie
Zanjeer
starring
Ram
Charan
Teja
and
Priyanka
Chopra
in
leads,
came
to
standstill,
when
Telugu
Megastar
Chiranjeevi
visited
its
sets
recently
in
the
city.
Chiru's
fans
created
a
havoc
as
they
queued
up
to
take
his
autographs
and
pictures.
Zanjeer
is
a
remake
of
a
1973
Hindi
film
with
the
same
name
starring
Amitabh
and
Jaya
Bachchan
in
leads.
Now,
this
blockbuster
movie
is
being
remade
simultaneously
in
Hindi
and
Telugu.
The
film
unit
recently
wrapped
up
its
shooting
schedule
in
the
city.
Actor-turned-politician
Chiranjeevi
took
some
time
from
his
busy
schedule
and
made
a
surprise
visit
on
the
Zanjeer
set.
Chiranjeevi
was
there
to
see
his
son
Ram
Charan
in
action
and
the
whole
film
unit
seemed
to
be
happy
with
his
visit.
The
happiest
man
in
the
team
was
Apoorva
Lakhia,
who
could
not
stop
gushing
about
Chiru.
The
director
said
that
thousands
of
Chiranjeevi
fans,
who
wanted
to
take
his
autographs
and
pictures,
gathered
on
the
sets,
bringing
the
shooting
process
to
a
standstill.
He
added
that
he
had
never
witnessed
such
a
scene
before.
However,
Zanjeer
is
produced
by
Amit
Mehra,
the
son
of
Prakash
Mehra,
who
produced
the
original.
The
producer
also
seemed
to
be
elated
by
the
visit
of
Chiranjeevi,
who
spent
a
few
hours
on
the
sets.
Talking
about
it,
Amit
said
when
Chiranjeevi
sir
came
on
the
sets,
he
felt
like
his
dad
was
there.
