Damarukam overtakes Routine Love Story at USA Box Office

Nagarjuna's latest Telugu movie Damarukam, which is the highest budget movie in his career, has received wonderful response at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. The socio-fantasy film has topped the collection chart in America, pushing down another new Telugu release Routine Love Story.

Damarukam, starring Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty in the lead released on 18+ screens in the country on November 22. The movie registered a good amount of occupancy on the first day. Its business showed a big jump on Friday. Its collection on Saturday was almost doubled up when compared to its Thursday's business in the country.

Damarukam has collected Rs 48.38 lakhs ($ 87,333) from 18 screens at the USA Box Office in three days. Its breakup is $ 19,127 on Thu, $ 30,936 on Fri and $ 37,270 on Sat. Its figures for Sunday are still being compiled. Trade experts say that its fourth day collection will be even bigger.

Whereas another Telugu film Routine Love Story starring Sundeep Kishan and Regina in the lead released on 13 screens in the country on November 22. But it has done a very poor collection. It has raked in Rs 3.36 lakhs ($ 6,068) at the USA Box Office in three days. Its breakup is $ 1,704 on Thu, $ 2,033 Fri and $ 2,331 on Sat.
