Telugu
movie
Damarukam
starring
Nagarjuna
and
Anushka
Shetty
in
leads,
has
opened
to
a
very
good
response
in
America.
The
socio-fantasy
movie
was
expected
to
send
down
the
collection
of
Tamil
film
Thuppakki,
which
had
done
a
rocking
business
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
But
it
has
failed
to
push
it
down
in
the
collection
chart
in
this
foreign
country.
Damarukam,
which
was
released
on
20
screens
in
the
country
on
November
22,
has
done
a
superb
collection
at
the
USA
Box
Office,
but
it
has
landed
in
the
second
spot.
The
Nanarjuna-Anushka
starrer
has
collected
Rs
60.47
lakhs
($
1,08,882)
in
four-day-extended
first
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
$
19,127
on
Thu,
$
30,936
on
Fri,
$
37,270
on
Sat
and
$
21,549
on
Sun.
Whereas
Thuppakki
starring
Vijay
and
Kajal
Aggarwal
in
leads
had
done
wonderful
business
at
the
USA
Box
Office
with
its
collection
crossing
Rs
1.76
crores
in
the
first
week.
Trade
experts
predicted
that
its
pace
would
be
slowed
by
Damarukam
in
the
second
weekend.
But
the
AR
Murugadoss
directed
film
has
once
again
topped
the
collection
chart
by
adding
Rs
75
lakhs
to
its
13-day
total
Rs
2.51
crores
($
4,52,734).
Meanwhile,
another
new
Telugu
release
Routine
Love
Story
has
landed
in
the
third
spot
in
the
business
chart
at
the
Box
Office.
The
film
has
collected
Rs
4.61
lakhs
($
8,300)
from
13
screens
in
the
country
in
the
opening
weekend.
Its

$
1,704
on
Thu,
$
2,033
Fri,
$
2,331
on
Sat
and
$
2232
on
Sun.
