Ravi
Teja's
latest
Telugu
movie
Daruvu,
which
released
on
May
25
world
wide,
is
one
of
the
most
anticipated
films
in
2012.
The
movie
was
expected
to
silence
the
roar
of
Pawan
Kalyan's
Gabbar
Singh
at
the
box
office.
Although
it
has
received
an
excellent
opening
at
the
BO,
it
has
failed
to
stop
the
latter,
which
is
still
doing
well
at
the
collection
centres
across
the
country
in
the
third
weekend.
Despite
getting
divide
talk,
Daruvu,
which
is
described
as
a
mass
entertainer,
registered
70%
to
100%
occupancy
at
both
single
screens
and
multiplexes
across
the
globe.
The
movie
has
collected
approximately
Rs
4.4
crores
on
the
first
day.
Its
business
went
down
on
Saturday
with
its
collections
reaching
Rs
3.8
crores.
The
movie
picked
up
well
on
Sunday
and
it
added
Rs
4.5
crores
to
its
three
days
total
collection
Rs
12.7
crores.
However,
Gabbar
Singh,
which
is
also
a
mass
entertainer,
remained
the
first
choice
for
many
film
goers
in
its
third
weekend.
The
movie
managed
to
hold
housefull
in
all
multiplexes
and
single
screens.
Trade
pandits
say
that
Daruvu
did
not
affect
the
business
of
the
film,
which
is
said
to
have
earned
Rs
6
to
8
crores.
