Dileep set to play Sathya Sai Baba in Telugu film

Popular Malayalam actor Dileep all set to foray into Tollywood. Yes! The Mallu star has committed to do the lead in a Telugu movie Baba Sathya Sai, which will be directed by Kodi Rama Krishna. The versatile actor has the guts to do Kunjikoonan, Radha Krishnan in Chandupottu and latest being Mayamohini.

No actor has ever accepted to do the role as Dileep did in Chandupottu. To play the role of Sathya Sai Baba will be a challenging one considering the late godman's unmatched fame and popularity. According to sources, the actor is getting Rs 7 crores as remuneration for this film and it is said to be highest in the Mollywood.

Dileep will be playing the godman Baba's years from the age of 25 to 85. The actor says that the shooting schedule of the film is going to be the longest one in his career. The locations of the movie will be right from Kanyakumari to Kashmir including Puttaparthi and Himalayas.

Earlier, the name of Mohanlal was rumoured for the lead role in the movie. Talking about Baba Sathya Sai, Dileep says that he is very happy for getting a chance to play the spiritual head. The actor adds that he has done several different roles, but this is going to be a totally different experience for him.

However, actress Jayaprada dons the role of his mother in Baba Sathya Sai, which will simultaneously be made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The shoot will begin in September. Dileep says working in different film industries is not an easy job, but he has planned to take the help of his friends like director Lal Jose.
