Director
SS
Rajamouli's
latest
Telugu
movie
Eega,
which
opened
to
an
earth-shattering
response,
has
done
wonderful
business
at
the
collection
centres
in
the
first
week
of
its
release.
The
action
graphical
wonder
has
collected
approximately
Rs
52
crores
nett
at
the
worldwide
Box
Office
in
seven
days.
Talking
to
Oneindia,
Jagadeesh
of
Suresh
Productions
said,
"Eega
has
done
superb
collection
at
the
Box
Office
across
the
country.
The
Telugu

has
raked
in
Rs
27
crores
including
Rs
4
crores
from
the
collection
centres
in
Karnataka." He
added,
"But
the
performance
of
its
Malayalam

Eecha
is
not
up
to
the
mark."
The
Malayalam
version
has
raked
in
approximately
Rs
3
crores
plus
at
the
Kerala
Box
Office.
The
dubbed
versions
of
Telugu
movies
have
not
been
very
successful
at
the
Tamil
Nadu
Box
Office.
But
Naan
Ee,
which
is
the
Tamil
version
of
Eega,
has
done
a
fare
business
at
the
Tamil
Nadu
Box
Office.
According
to
trade

the
movie
has

the
international
market.
The
movie
was
released

UK,
and
has
opened
to
an

countries.
It
has
raked
in
nearly
Rs
10
crores
from
its
Telugu
and
Tamil

at
the
overseas
Box
Office.
Trade
analysts
say
that
it
is
record
collection
for
a
Telugu
film.
The
makers
of
the
film
are
releasing
it
on
20
more
screens
in
USA
in
the
second
week
as
they
had
released
it
only
on
39
screens
in
the
country
due
to
unavailability
of
cinema
halls.
However,
Eega
has
been
often
making
it
to
the
headlines
for
all
good
reasons
ever
since
Rajamouli
announced
it.
The
producers
of
the
film
had
an
extensive
promotion
for
it.
The
movie
received
rave
reviews
from
both
film
critics
and
viewers.
Moreover,
several
leading
superstars
of
South
India
lauded
Rajamouli's
direction,
Sudeep's
performance
and
film's
special
effects.
All
these
factors
contributed
to
its
huge
success
at
the
Box
Office.
