Hyderabad:
Director
SS
Rajamouli
has
revealed
that
the
police
has
arrested
an
operator,
manager
and
a
hostel
warden
in
an
anti-piracy
raid.
According
to
the
director,
the
accused
were
caught
red
handed
while
screening
a
pirated
CD
of
his
latest
movie
Eega
at
the
CMS
Commerce
Junior
College
in
Nizampet.
Although
Eega
has
been
doing
a
wonderful
business,
SS
Rajamouli
is
not
very
happy
with
it.
The
reason
he
stated
is
that
his
movie
would
have
done
even
better
collection,
if
it
was
not
allegedly
leaked
online.
The
disappointed
director
is
now
busy
involved
in
anti-piracy
campaign
in
the
country.
SS
Rajamouli
took
to
his
Twitter
page
yesterday
(July
24)
to
narrate
one
shocking
incident.
The
director
tweeted,
"APVC
along
with
police
raided
CMS
Commerce
junior
college
in
nizampet
where
a
pirated
copy
of
eega
was
being
screened
for
300
odd
girl
Students.
the
operator,
manager
and
the
warden
were
arrested
and
equipment
seized.
FIR
filed."
Meanwhile,
Rajamouli
requested
all
colleges
and
hotels
not
to
engage
in
such
activities.
The
Magadheera
helmer
further
wrote,
"We
r
not
at
all
happy
about
this.
We
want
to
fi8
Pirates,
not
students
or
colleges.
We
request
the
hostels/colleges
not
to
indulge
in
these
activities.
Students
are
not
arrested.
It
can't
be
done
and
we
don't
have
any
such
intentions.
Manager,
operator
and
warden
are
arrested
(sic)."
However,
despite
Eega
doing
good
collection,
the
makers
of
the
movie
feel
that
it
has
faced
big
set
back
at
the
Box
Office
across
the
globe.
Soon
after
the
movie
hit
the
screens,
it
was
allegedly
recorded
in
a
theatre
and
leaked
online.
Within
a
span
of
a
week,
6,55,000
people
have
downloaded
the
pirated
version
of
Eega,
which
is
a
big
loss
to
the
producers.
Earlier
at
a
press
conference,
Rajamouli
had
groaned,
"We
toil
for
years
to
make
a
film
and
unscrupulous
people
make
a
quick
buck
without
any
effort."
