Jr NTR’s Dammu collects Rs 14 crs at Box Office on first day

Junior NTR’s much-hyped Telugu movie Dammu has received a grand opening at the Box Office. According to the trade reports, this mass entertainer movie, which was released in more than 1,200 theaters across the world, has raked in Rs 14 crores nett at collection centres on the first day.

Dammu, which has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 34 crores, opened to a huge response in both single screens and multiplexes in the morning and matinee shows on the first day. It registered 90% occupancy at the single screens, while multiplexes were running housefull on the first day.

However, Dammu boasts of a big star cast that includes Junior NTR, Trisha and Karthika. Extensive promotional activities had been done for the movie. Though the audience gave Dammu a thumbs up, the film received mixed reviews from the film critics. Trade analysts feel that Dammu is expected to collect Rs 40 to 45 crores in the first weekend.
