CGTR effect: Nagarjuna's Damarukam release delayed?

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty's much-anticipated movie Damarukam is slated to hit the screens across the globe on October 20. But the rumour mills in the Tollywood circle are abuzz with the news that the release of this big budget film has been delayed. And they call it the effect of Pawan Kalyan's Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, which has opened to an overwhelming response.

Sources close to the production team say that the makers of Damarukam have not made any official announcement about the delay in its release. But they are said to have called theatre owners and informed them that the movie is not releasing on October 20. Hence, their refunds will be processed soon, add the sources.

Some say that Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, which has hit the screens across the globe, has registered an earth-shattering response at the Box Office. The producers of Damarukam are afraid that the release of their big budget movie on October 20 would result in setback at the collection centres. They are also concerned that it would affect the business of Pawan Kalyan and Tamanna starrer film.

A few say that Damarukam has computer graphics of 70 minutes and some portions of graphics are still pending. Besides this, the makers are said to be facing huge financial deficit in completing the graphics work. Hence, they have planned to delay its release and they are yet to announce a fresh release date.
