Nagarjuna's Damarukam set to clash with Vijay's Thuppakki?

Telugu movie Damarukam is the biggest budget movie in the career of Akkineni Nagarjuna. This socio-fantasy film, which has been directed by Srinivasa Reddy, is one of the most-awaited Telugu in 2012. Its release date has created a lot of confusions among the film goers. If we are to go by the talk of T-Town, this costliest film would clash with Vijay's much-hyped Tamil film Thuppakki at the Box Office.

Earlier, Damarukam was scheduled to release on October 20. The movie had completed Censor formalities and even theatres were booked for its screening. But the makers pushed its release ahead saying that some portions of its graphic works were pending. It was speculated at the moment that the makers were afraid of suffering losses due its clash with Pawan Kalyan's Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu at the Box Office.

Sources close to the production team say that the producers of Damarukam have planned to release the film on November 9. Since its the big budget movie, the makers hope to cash in on the Diwali holiday. Also Vijay's Thuppakki, which is being dubbed in Telugu, will hit the screens on November 9. Both the movies are sure to clash at the Box Office.

However, Damarukam is inspired by the novel Immortals of Meluha. Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty are playing the lead roles, while Prakash Raj appears as Lord Shiva. Besides Nag's electrifying performance, the movie also boasts of 70 minutes of breath-taking visual effects, and Devi Sri Prasad's chartbuster music, which have created a lot of positive-buzz for it.
