Nagarjuna's Damarukam music launched in a grand way

The music of Akkineni Nagarjuna's Damarukam, which is among the most-awaited movies of 2012, has been released at a grand function held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad on Monday night (September 10, 2012). It was a star studded event, which also witnessed thousands of fans from all over the state coming to see Nagarjuna.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for the ten songs of the movie Damarukam for which lyricists Chandra Bose, Sahithi and Bhasakara Bhatla have penned the lyrics. Venkat Sai, Karthik, Sri Krishna, Harini, Hariharan, Myraid Pro, Shankar Mahadevan, Suchith Suresan, Mamta Sharma, Gopika Poornima, MLR Karthikeyan, Jaspreet Jasz and Sunitha have crooned the tracks.

Adithya Music has bought the music rights of Damarukam and released the audio CDs into the market. The song 'Shiva Shiva Shankara', which has the voice of Shankar Mahadevan, is one of the major highlight of the music. Secondly, Charmi starrer item song 'Sakku Bhai' is another attraction.

Damarukam Music Launch Event

The audio release of Damarukam was a star-studded event. Leading directors SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, K Raghavendra Rao, Nag's sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil; Sushanth, SV Krishna Reddy, Bramanandam, Bellamkonda Suresh, Veerabhadram Chowdhary, Ramesh Puppala, B Jaya made it to this music launch event.

Director K Raghavendra Rao, who has directed Nagarjuna in his recent release Shirdi Sai, unveiled the audio CDs and handed them over to Nagarjuna and others on the stage.

Damarukam is the 50th film of Devi Sri Prasad and the musician celebrated his success on the occasion. He cut a huge cake and shared it with others on the stage.

Actress Charmi Kaur has done an item number 'Sakku Bhai' in the movie Damarukam. The popular South Indian star shook her legs to the tunes of the song on its music launch event.


Nagarjuna has joined hands with Devi Sri Prasad for the fourth film. The previous movies of this combo have become musical blockbusters. Addressing the audio release event, the actor thanked his fans for lending their full support. He hoped that Devi Sri Prasad's music will repeat the same magic with this movie Damarukam.

Damarukam is the 50th film of Devi Sri Prasad. During music release, the musician thanked his mother for shaping up his career. He also thanked director Kodi Ramakrishna for giving him first film Devi. Meanwhile, he remembered Nagarjuna's help in working for big star movies.
