Actress
Nayantara's
performance
in
Sri
Rama
Rajyam
has
already
impressed
both
viewers
and
film
critics.
She
has
even
bagged
several
awards
for
it.
The
latest
honour
that
is
coming
her
way
is
none
other
than
the
prestigious
Best
Actress
Nandi
Awards
2011
and
she
has
credited
it
to
superstar
Nandamuri
Balakrishna.
Nayantara
is
all
excited
over
this
prestigious
honour
from
the
Nandi
Awards.
In
a
press
statement
to
Oneindia.
The
actress
says,
"I'm
really
happy
that
I
have
got
Nandi
Award,
which
is
the
most
prestigious
award,
when
it
comes
to
Telugu
cinema.
I'm
grateful
to
god
for
giving
me
this
opportunity
to
work
in
a
film
like
Sri
Rama
Rajyam.
I
would
like
to
thank
Balakrishna
sir
for
convincing
me
to
do
the
film,
if
not
for
him
I
wouldn't
have
done
this."
Meanwhile,
Nayantara
also
thanked
director
Bapu,
producer
Yalamanchali
Sai
Babu
and
other
members
from
the
film
unit.
She
said,
"I
would
like
to
thank
Bapu
sir
and
Sri
Sai
Babu
sir
for
having
so
much
faith
in
me
that
I
would
do
justice
to
the
role
of
Sita
Devi.
I
would
also
like
to
thank
Raju
sir
the
cinematographer
for
presenting
me
so
well
on
screen."
However,
Nayantara
has
won
several
awards
like
Filmfare,
Asianet,
Vijay,
CineMAA
and
SIIMA,
but
this
is
for
the
first
time,
she
has
won
a
Nandi
Award,
which
has
landed
on
cloud
nine.
The
actress
further
says,
"I
think
am
really
blessed
to
have
worked
in
a
film
like
Sri
Rama
Rajyam.
It
is
one
film
which
would
always
remain
special
to
me
and
I
would
like
to
congratulate
all
the
other
winners
too."
