Pawan Kalyan’s CGTR rights fetches record price in USA

Power star Pawan Kalyan's recent release Gabbar Singh, which is a remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg, has set new collection record at the Box Office. The huge success of the movie has created lot of demand for the rights of his upcoming film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, which is slated to release on 11 October. We hear that its theatrical rights of USA have been sold for a record price.

In a chat with a leading English day, DVV Danayya, who is producing Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, has revealed that he has sold its rights for $260k for screening in 13 centres in the country. The producer added that this is the highest price and a record amount for a Telugu film to be released in the USA.

Pawan Kalyan has a huge fan following in the USA and his movies have had a good time in the country. DVV Danayya is totally carried away by the Pawanism and the huge demand for his films. The producer gushed that his production house has been getting calls from several exhibitors of other regions in the country for screening the film.

It should be recalled here that Pawan Kalyan's previous movie Gabbar Singh has received an overwhelming response at the USA Box Office. The movie, which has collected more than Rs 5 crore in the country, has beaten the first weekend record of big budget Hindi films like Rockstar (Rs 3.30 crore), Desi Boyz (Rs 3.79 crore), Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (Rs 3.5 crore). It has become the second highest grosser Telugu movie after Eega.
