Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh sequel on cards

Soon after Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh got an earth-shattering response at the Box Office, rumours were doing rounds that this Telugu remake of Bollywood movie Dabangg would have a sequel. But the makers put all speculations to rest saying that the sequel was not on cards. The latest we hear is the producer has planned for the one and the preparation for it are now in full swing.

Sources from the Telugu film industry say that Bandla Ganesh Babu has already decided to have sequel to the blockbuster movie Gabbar Singh and its production will start in 2013. The producer has two titles like Gabbar Singh in Hyderabad and Gabbar Singh 2 for the sequel in mind. But he is yet to finalise one of the two.

Sources further claim that the project is still in early stages of development, and scripting works and casting of other artistes & technicians is yet to be done. Moreover, Pawan Kalyan is busy with a couple of other projects. Ganesh Babu is still finalising everything. Once everything is in place and Pawan completes his commitments, the producer would make a formal announcement about it.

However, Gabbar Singh was a remake of Salman Khan's blockbuster Hindi movie Dabangg and the production works are on for a sequel to Dabangg. Now, what is not clear about Gabbar Singh sequel is whether it will be a remake of Dabangg 2 or will have fresh story of its own. Stay locked to this space to read updates about it.
