Director
SS
Rajamouli
had
initially
planned
to
make
his
most-awaited
movie
Eega,
which
is
scheduled
to
release
in
theatres
on
July
6,
with
a
shoe-string
budget
of
2
crores
using
digital
technology,
but
its
budget
went
on
increasing
and
ultimately
reached
Rs
30
crores,
reveals
producer
Sai
Korrapati.
In
an
interview
with
a
website,
Sai
Korrapati
said
that
SS
Rajamouli
wanted
him
to
producer
his
movie
Eega
and
he
had
narrated
him
its
concept
during
the
making
of
Maryada
Ramanna.
He
had
even
told
him
that
he
had
planned
to
shoot
the
film
with
just
Rs
2
crores
using
digital
technology.
Since
it
is
an
experimental
film,
Sai
gladly
accepted
to
produce
it.
Meanwhile,
the
producer
revealed
that
Rajamouli
had
decided
that
he
would
do
Eega
as
a
follow
up
to
Maryada
Ramanna
only
if
the
latter
movie
turns
successful
at
the
Box
Office.
After
its
success,
the
director
announced
the
movie
Eega
and
its
estimated
budget
was
Rs
7.5
crores.
It
went
on
increasing
as
its
craze
grew
in
multi-fold.
Finally,
the
total
expenses
of
the
movie
reached
Rs
30
crore.
Sai
Korrapati
could
not
have
afforded
to
produce
a
30-crore
film.
He
asked
D
Suresh
Babu
for
infrastructural
support
and
he
agreed
and
helped
him
a
lot,
says
Sai.
He
has
borrowed
money
for
a
monthly
interest
of
Rs
1.5.
Besides
this,
a
few
of
his
friends
have
also
chipped
in
their
money.
However,
the
movie
Eega
has
collected
nearly
Rs
20
crore
from
its
satellite
and
music
rights
before
its
release
in
theatres.
However,
the
brand
name
of
SS
Rajamouli
has
created
lot
of
curiosity
among
the
movie
buffs,
who
are
eager
to
watch
the
film
Eega.
The
producer
feels
fortunate
to
work
with
Rajamouli.
Talking
about
MM
Keeravani,
Sai
says
that
he
has
given
nice
ideas
to
promote
movie.
He
has
given
a
wonderful
music,
which
helped
Eega
to
create
such
a
huge
euphoria.
