Ram Charan Teja-Upasana's wedding to set an example

By Ramchander

We have been reading that Ram Charan Teja's wedding will be one of the most lavish affairs in the recent years and the marriage will have an international touch with flowers flowing in from Bangkok, cutlery from Europe and chandeliers from China. But all these reports have been turned false. The Mega family has rubbished all such rumours and added that nothing is being imported, since they wanted to give employment to local people.

A leading daily reports that the couple wanted to generate employment for the Indian artisans. Instead of importing swanky items from abroad, they choose to hire the local talents' hand-made materials. Especially, Ram Charan-Upasana preferred designs, which would employ most number of craftsmen. It also adds that the artisans from Moradabad and Firozabad are erecting the sets of a Nandi with a lotus-shaped hand-blown glass, as the wedding mantap will have a Shiva-Parvathi theme. The Mega family has hired people from different parts of India to work on table linen and flower-weaving.

And for all the other works like structuring air-conditioning and designing hand-blown glasses, they have roped in the artisans from Andhra. However, Ram Charan Teja and Upasana's wedding celebrations kick-started with sangeet ceremony, which was held at Annapoorna Studios, on Monday (June 11). They are tying the knot on June 14 at Hyderabad International Convention Center, Madhapur, Hyderabad on June 14.
