Upasana-Ram Charan visit Domakonda temple before marriage

It had all the trappings of tradition and ceremony with a fort as the perfect setting. The Ram Charan-Upasana wedding went into an overdrive with a traditional ceremony at the century old family fort of the bride at Domakonda in Nizamabad district, about 100 Kms north of Hyderabad.

The morning at Domakonda started with Upasana doing her puja with her parents Anil and Shobana Kamineni at the Kakatiyan era Shiva temple and was soon joined by Ram Charan and his dad Chiranjeevi. She gifted sarees to the women of the village, a tradition that the family has been following for generations.

From there, the congregation moved to the fort proper, where a small ceremony was followed by a traditional procession, was held with Upasana walking along with a pathway of sarees till the entrance of the fort and later sought the blessings at the Pochamma temple. The entire population turned up for the ceremony and the village elders took the lead in conducting the various aspects of what was truly a memorable day.
