Hyderabad:
Telugu
movie
Uu
Kodathara
Ulikki
Padathara
(UKUP)
has
opened
to
a
very
good
response
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
The
Balakrishna
and
Manchu
Manoj
starrer
film
has
beaten
Rajendra
Prasad
starrer
Onamalu
at
the
collection
centres
in
America,
but
it
has
failed
to
slow
down
the
pace
of
previous
release
Eega.
Uu
Kodathara
Ulikki
Padathara,
which
was
released
on
July
27
in
the
USA,
was
screened
in
limited
number
of
cinema
halls
in
the
country.
But
the
Telugu
film
has
done
a
wonderful
business
when
compared
to
its
volume
of
its
release
in
the
country.
The
movie
has
collected
Rs
38.09
lakhs
($
68,722)
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
opening
weekend.
Whereas
another
new
Telugu
release
Onamalu,
which
was
also
released
on
limited
number
of
screens
in
America,
has
received
average
response
at
the
USA
Box
Office.
Despite
getting
good
reviews
from
film
critics,
the
movie
has
failed
to
make
it
big
at
the
collection
centres
in
the
country.
It
has
grossed
Rs
1.80
lakhs
($
3,243)
in
the
first
weekend.
However,
the
collection
of
SS
Rajamouli's
Eega
remained
unaffected
by
the
release
of
Uu
Kodathara
Ulikki
Padathara
in
the
country.
The
graphical
wonder,
which
continued
to
rock
the
audience,
has
added
more
than
Rs
15
lakhs
to
its
25-day
total
Rs
5.87
crores
nett.
With
this,
it
has
become
the
highest
grosser
Telugu
movie
at
the
USA
Box
Office.
