The stampede reportedly started when viewers were coming out of a theatre after watching the film.

A leading English daily reports that C Rangaswamy (20), of D Ramadurgam village in Dhone mandal of Kurnool district, is the unfortunate fan of Junior NTR, who died in the mishap. He had gone to watch Baadshah in the morning show in the Segu theatre. While coming out of theatre, he fell down at the exit door and suffered severe head injuries. Though he was rushed to a nearby government hospital, he could not survive.
