Actor Srinivas Avasarala Turning Director With Naga Shourya's Next

By Ians English

Actor Srinivas Avasarala is a mechanical engineer by profession. Having worked in Princeton University, he left his lucrative career to fulfill his ambition of acting. Before starting his acting career with Ashta Chamma, he did a screenwriting diploma at UCLA and a course in acting at Lee Strasberg School. After starring in 10+ films, he is now set to turn director with Naga Shourya's next film, which is expected to go on floors very soon.

Talking to IANS, Sai Korrapati, who is producing Srinivas' debut directorial venture, said, "Srinivas' film will be a full-length comedy entertainer. He has been a great actor and comedian. I'm sure he will translate the funny side in him on screen with this film. We have zeroed in on Naga Shourya as the lead, while the hunt for the rest of cast is on."

Sai Korrapati has previously produced Telugu films Eega and Andala Rakshasi. The producer added, "I have also announced another film with debutant director Srinivas Gogineni. This film will be an out-and-out action entertainer. As a producer, I would like to give opportunities to as many newcomers as possible. The industry needs creative films and this is my way of showing my support."

Srinivas Avasarala is known for his memorable performances in Telugu films like Ashta Chamma and Pilla Zamindar. Before becoming an actor, he has also worked as an assistant director for the movie Blind Ambition in 2007. With him becoming an independent director with a yet-to-be titled Telugu romantic-comedy, it should be seen whether he will be able to impress the viewers or not.
