Baadshah effect: Srinu Vaitla joins Twitter

Hyderabad: Many filmmakers in Tollywood have realised the importance of having an account on Twitter. But it was Srinu Vaitla, who was not willing to own one though his wife Roopa has already one and often keeps herself busy chatting with her followers. Finally, the director has joined the Twitter bandwagon on the occasion of the release of his Telugu movie Baadshah starring Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in leads.

Srinu Vaitla created his official page on Twitter on Thursday and he has got 3,200 followers just before end of the first day. The elated director took to his page last evening to share his excitement over the fans response and his first tweet reads, "What better occasion to join Twitter than the release of 'Baadshah'. Thank you all for the warm welcome."

His latest directorial venture Baadshah, which is produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu, has received positive reviews from film critics. And movie buffs, who have fallen in love with its comedy sequences, are now busy spreading a strong word of mouth on Twitter and Facebook. Srinu Vaitla is all excited over the viewers' response. Today, he tweets, "Thanks for all the appreciation..and being a part of making it a huge success!! Go enjoy #Baadshah:)"

The director is known for Blockbuster Telugu hits such as Dhee, King and Dookudu. He is one among the many Telugu directors on Twitter. Other popular Telugu directors include SS Rajamouli, Puri Jagannath, Harish Shankar, Meher Ramesh, Gopichand Mallineni and Deva Katta.
