Hyderabad:
A
lot
has
been
talked
and
written
about
Telugu
actor
Balakrishna's
100th
film
and
everything
has
turned
out
to
be
just
rumours.
The
latest
we
hear
about
this
landmark
film
is
that
it
will
be
inspired
by
Disney's
1994
big-budget
action
adventure
The
Lion
King,
which
is
American
animated
musical
drama
film.
The
actor
reportedly
will
play
the
role
of
a
king
while
Nayantara
appears
as
his
queen.
The
Lion
King
was
directed
by
Roger
Allers
and
Rob
Minkoff
and
produced
by
Don
Hahn.
The
story
is
all
about
a
lion
kingdom.
In
the
Pride
Lands
of
Africa,
lion
king
Mufasa
rules
over
the
other
animals
and
he
has
son
Simba
with
Queen
Sarabi
and
he
is
touted
future
king.
But
his
jealous
younger
brother
Scar,
who
wants
to
take
over
the
throne,
plots
to
kill
Mufasa
and
Simba.
Mufasa
is
killed
but
Simbu
escapes.
What
happens
next
will
form
the
crux
of
the
story.
It
was
reported
earlier
that
Balakrishna's
100
movie
will
be
a
folk
drama
like
Bhairava
Dweepam.
Now,
reports
suggest
that
writers
Harinatha
Rao
and
Venu
are
adapting
the
story
of
The
Lion
King
into
a
folk
lore
drama
revolving
around
human
kings,
queens,
palaces
and
war.
They
are
said
to
be
fine-tuning
the
script
to
suit
Balayya's
image.
However,
Balakrishna's
100
movie
is
said
to
be
made
with
whopping
budget
of
Rs
30
crore.
Sri
Rama
Rajyam
fame
Yalamanchali
Saibaba
will
produce
the
film,
which
will
go
on
the
floor
on
June
10
on
Balakrishna's
birthday.
Another
highlight
of
this
project
is
that
the
actor
is
turning
director
with
it.
