Actors
are
treated
like
demigods
in
South
India
and
there
are
a
few
examples
of
fans
building
temples
for
their
favourite
actor
or
actress
in
the
past.
But
here
is
an
interesting
story
of
a
fan,
who
has
named
his
biscuit
brand
after
Mega
family
star
Ram
Charan
Teja.
Even
more
interesting
fact
is
that
this
fan
owns
a
factory
in
Japan,
where
these
biscuits
are
very
popular.
This
is
not
just
a
rumour.
It
is
a
real
story
and
Apoorva
Lakhia,
who
is
directing
Ram
Charan
in
his
debut
Bollywood
movie
Zanjeer,
has
confirmed
the
news.
The
director
recently
found
'Charan
Biscuits'
on
the
supermarket
shelves
of
Kyoto,
Japan.
"I
was
in
the
town
of
Kyoto,
which
has
a
sizeable
Indian
population.
In
the
supermarket
while
buying
myself
some
food,
I
came
across
a
brand
of
biscuit
named
Charan.
I
immediately
got
curious," an
English
daily
quotes
Lakhia
as
saying.
Apoorva
Lakhia
came
to
know
about
the
fan's
dedication
to
Ram
Charan,
when
he
curiously
inquired
about
'Charan
Biscuits'.
The
director
added,
"When
I
inquired
around
I
got
to
know
that
Ram's
South
Indian
fans
in
Kyote
and
Kobe
had
gotten
together
to
manufacture
this
brand
of
biscuit.
I
was
zapped.
Of
course,
I
bought
some.
They're
quite
good."
