Telugu
movie
Jabardasth
starring
Siddharth
and
Samantha
in
leads,
has
done
a
very
poor
collection
at
the
USA
Box
Office.
It
has
landed
in
the
second
place,
while
Kai
Po
Che
topped
the
weekend
business
chart.
But
its
international
business
is
much
better
than
the
lifetime
collection
of
Hindi
film
Murder
3,
which
has
raked
in
Rs
17.08
lakhs
($31,697)
at
the
end
of
its
second
weekend.
Jabardasth
was
one
of
the
most-awaited
Telugu
movies
of
2013
and
it
was
released
in
39
screens
in
America
on
Thursday.
The
film
was
expected
to
start
with
a
bang,
but
it
opened
to
a
very
poor
response
in
the
country
and
it
did
not
show
growth
on
the
following
days.
The
Nandini
Reddy-directed
flick
has
raked
in
Rs
24.58
lakhs
($45,612)
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
Its
performance
is
lower
than
many
low
budget
movies
in
recent
times.
The
poor
opening
of
Jabardasth
paved
way
for
the
old
releases
like
Mirchi,
Seethamma
Vakitlo
Sirimalle
Chettu
and
Vishwaroopam
(Telugu
version)
to
rock
once
again
at
the
USA
Box
Office.
In
its
third
weekend,
Mirchi
has
collected
$25,376
from
12
screens,
taking
its
total
to
Rs
3.36
crores
($6,22,807).
The
total
collection
of
SVSC
and
Vishwaroopam
stand
at
Rs
8.82
crores
($16,36,980)
and
Rs
1.08
crores
($1,99,698),
respectively.
