Jiah Khan refreshes memory of Tollywood's fallen stars

Jiah Khan, another upcoming actress who has succumbed to psychological problems. It is often said that the film industry is ruthless and only the fittest survive. There have been many such incidences in Telugu film industry as well.

Silk Smitha, Divya Bharti, Bhargavi, Prathyusha have lost their lives in the battle of life. Aarti Agarwal, Gajala and Vanitha are believed to have attempted suicide. The reason might be various, but there seems to be a definite pattern in most of these instances.

Most of the actresses who have attempted suicide seem to be people who have been once successful, and once the fame and glitter of the film industry start to fade, they try to take the seemingly easier route than to stand and continue their battle.

Another important thing to notice in most of these instances is that, most of the time the women in the film industry are the sufferers. Men in the industry seem to be a lot more stronger than the women. Does that mean men in the industry are more stronger emotionally than woman or need not be debated.

Coming back to Jiah Khan, who has acted in a few movies, was acknowledged as a women of substance and many think she should have stayed strong and at least tried to stand the pressures of this battle. It might be the lack of family support, or the lack of emotional stability or slow moving career or even could be a nick of time decision. Whatever, the reason could be, the film industry today has lost a very bright star in a very unfortunate way.
