Hyderabad:
Junior
NTR's
latest
outing
Baadshah,
which
has
been
directed
by
Srinu
Vaitla,
has
done
fantastic
collection
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
The
masala
entertainer
has
topped
the
business
chart
in
the
country,
beating
new
Bollywood
release
Chashme
Baddoor.
But
despite
releasing
in
record
number
of
screens,
the
movie
has
failed
to
beat
the
record
of
Mahesh
Babu's
Seethamma
Vakitlo
Sirimalle
Chettu
(SVSC).
Highly-talked
about
Telugu
film
Baadshah,
which
set
a
new
record
by
releasing
in
110
screens
in
America,
opened
to
overwhelming
response
at
the
USA
Box
Office
on
Thursday.
It
became
the
biggest
opener
of
Junior
NTR
in
the
country.
With
its
superb
collection,
the
film
even
shattered
the
first
day
record
of
Seethamma
Vakitlo
Sirimalle
Chettu,
which
was
the
biggest
opener
from
Tollywood.
The
positive
reviews
from
film
critics
and
a
good
word
of
mouth
took
the
business
of
Baadshah
upwards
over
the
weekend.
The
business
of
the
movie
crossed
$1
million
mark
in
just
four
days
and
its
collection
is
much
better
than
many
big
Hindi
releases
in
the
country.
It
has
collected
Rs
5.70
crores
($10,45,192)
from
108
screens
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
However,
Baadshah
has
smashed
the
first
weekend
collection
record
of
Pawan
Kalyan's
Gabbar
Singh,
which
had
collected
Rs
4.13
crores
($7,65,373)
from
43
screens
in
four
days.
But
the
Junior
NTR
and
Kajal
Aggarwal
starrer
has
fallen
back
in
beating
the
record
of
Seethamma
Vakitlo
Sirimalle
Chettu,
which
had
collected
Rs
6.87
crores
($12,62,100)
from
69
screens
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
four
days.
