A
stalker's
attack
on
actress
Shruti
Hassan
at
her
Bandra
residence
in
Mumbai
has
created
quite
stir
in
the
media,
but
her
Superstar
father
Kamal
Hassan
and
actress-mother
Sarika
kept
mum
on
this
issue,
which
had
surprised
many
in
the
industry.
Finally
breaking
the
silence,
her
mother
has
said
that
it
is
an
unfortunate
incident,
but
one
needs
to
learn
to
handle
such
situations.
In
a
statement
to
Times
of
India,
Sarika
said,
"Shruti
is
fine
now." She
added,
"Unfortunately,
lots
of
things
are
happening
these
days
that
should
not.
Obviously,
I
am
worried
for
her,
but
then
we
have
to
learn
to
handle
such
situations.
Not
only
are
public
figures
like
us
vulnerable
to
such
untoward
incidents,
other
women
too
are
equally
at
risk."
Although
Sarika
is
quite
concerned
about
her
daughter's
security,
she
does
not
want
to
restrict
her
or
make
her
stay
with
her
family.
When
quizzed
about
whether
she
would
want
her
to
stay
with
her,
she
says,
"Well,
she
can't
stay
with
me
because
she
has
her
career,
she
travels
outdoors...
once
children
grow
up,
they
want
to
be
independent.
Pallu
se
baandh
ke
toh
nahi
rakh
sakte
hain
na!
We
always
tell
our
children
to
be
careful,
but
we
can't
nag
them
about
it."
