Mahesh Babu Out; Ravi Teja In For Anushka's Rudramadevi

Everyone knows that actress Anushka Shetty is playing the title role in director Gunasekhar's upcoming period film Rudramadevi, which is all about a prominent queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. It was rumoured earlier that superstar Mahesh Babu would essay the role of Gona Ganna Reddy in it. But the latest reports suggest that Prince has walked out of the film due to his busy schedule of Aagadu. So Ravi Teja will reprise this role.

It is reported that Ravi Teja and Gunasekhar have maintained a very good rapport, ever since they shared a room in Chennai. When Mahesh Babu declined to make a special appearance as a warrior Prince, the director approached the Mass Maharaja for the role. The actor is said to have accepted his offer. It is reported that he has apparently not started any new projects as he is waiting to complete Rudramadevi before moving on.

Produced and directed by Gunasekhar, Rudramadevi is a mega budget 3D historic film. Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj and Krishnam Raju are playing other important roles in the movie. Ilaiyaraaja is composing music for the soundtrack and background score of the movie. The film will have Ajay Vincent's cinematography, Thotta Tharani's art direction and Neeta Lulla's costumes designs.
