By Ians English
Director
K
Vijaya
Bhaskar,
who
delivered
Telugu
blockbusters
such
as
Nuvvu
Naku
Nachav
and
Malliswari
with
actor
Daggubati
Venkatesh,
hopes
to
score
a
hat-trick
with
Masala,
which
is
coming
out
Thursday.
Masala
is
the
Telugu
remake
of
Hindi
comedy
Bol
Bachchan.
Vijaya
Bhaskar
told
IANS,
"My
films
are
known
for
providing
wholesome
entertainment
and
even
though
Masala
is
a
remake,
I
have
made
it
as
entertaining
as
possible.
It's
my
third
film
with
Venkatesh
and
our
combination
has
always
resulted
in
a
hit.
I
hope
it
continues
with
this
film
too." He
added,
"Comedy
has
been
an
integral
part
of
all
my
films.
I
believe
audiences
deserve
to
be
entertained
for
the
money
they
shell
out.
Therefore,
I
give
equal
importance
to
comedy
in
my
films."
Bhaskar
feels
there's
nothing
wrong
in
working
on
remakes.
Vijaya
Bhaskar
said,
"It's
not
like
I'm
against
remakes.
The
original
was
received
well
in
Hindi,
and
the
makers
in
Telugu
approached
me
with
the
opportunity
and
I
grabbed
it.
It
has
come
out
very
well
and
I'm
hoping
audiences
receive
it
well."
Two
of
his
films
namely
Classmates
and
Bhale
Dongalu
were
remakes.
Masala,
co-produced
by
Daggubati
Suresh
Babu
and
Sravanti
Ravi
Kishore,
also
features
Anjali,
Ram
Pothineni
and
Shazahn
Padamsee
in
important
roles.
It
is
a
very
important
film
for
Venkatesh
and
Ram
as
they
are
desperately
seeking
a
hit
after
flops
such
as
Shadow
and
Ongole
Githa
respectively.
