Pawan Kalyan's AD beats Mahesh Babu's SVSC record

With every new release, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who is considered as the No 1 actor in Tollywood, has set at least one new record in the Telugu film industry. The latest entry in his record list is the sale of satellite rights of his upcoming movie Atharintiki Daredhi (AD). The movie has reportedly smashed the previous record of Mahesh Babu's Blockbuster film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC).

Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh in leads, was in the top slot with its Television rights fetching Rs 7.5 crores, which was highest price then. MAA TV, the lead competitor for the rights of superstars' films in Telugu, has reportedly bagged the satellite rights of Pawan's Atharintiki Daredhi, which has reportedly fetched whopping Rs 9 crores.

Along with Reliance Entertainment, BVSN Prasad is producing two big budget movies like Atharintiki Daredhi and Sahasam starring Gopichand and Taapsee. It is reported that the producer has already sold the satellite rights of both films for Rs 12 crores. Reports further suggest that the Pawan Kalyan starrer has been sold for Rs 9 crores, while the Gopichand movie fetched Rs 3 crores.

Atharintiki Daredhi is the next biggest outing of Pawan Kalyan after the release of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu. The movie has been adding to the curiosity of the film goers, ever since it hit the floor. The mega family fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film, which is expected to hit the screens by the end of this month.
