When Pawan Kalyan heard that his best friend Ali is getting a doctorate, he was so excited that he dropped in the sets of their upcoming movie Atharintiki Daredhi for a surprise celebration.

Ali is conferred a honorary doctorate by The Academy of Universal Global Peace. Pawan Kalyan celebrated this with a cake cut with the cast and crew of their movie. Pawan Kalyan and Ali are one of the very few friends who have survived in the industry.

Ali has acted in almost all Pawan Kalyan's movies so far. In fact, Pawan Kalyan makes sure that Ali has a significant role in all his movies. He has played a pretty important role in Pawan Kalyan's movies such as Kushi, Badri, Gabbar Singh, Teen Maar, Jalsa, Thammudu, Panjaa and many more. He himself mentioned this in the audio release of his movie Panjaa. Ali also gets special preference in all Pawan Kalyan related events.

Ali will be formally conferred the doctorate on 25th May in Coimbatore. On this occasion, a huge cake was cut in Ramoji Film City by the cast and crew of Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie Atharintiki Daredhi, including Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram Srinivas, producer BVSN Prasad and others.
