Photos: Srinu Vaitla Launches Mahesh Babu's Aagadu
Srinu Vaitla had announced that he would do his next directorial venture Aagadu with Mahesh Babu months before the Superstar started shooting for his much-hyped movie 1: Nenokkadine. It has been almost a year and the movie has been creating buzz in the filmnagar. Finally, the director has launched the film today (October 25) and its opening ceremony was held at the Filmnagar Ramanaidu Studio temple.
The muhurtham of Aagadu was a low-key event and Mahesh Babu was not present on the occasion. Srinu Vaitla, producers Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara, musician SS Thaman and few others from its production unit were present at the event. Ace filmmaker Ramanaidu clapped the board, Shyam Prasad Reddy switched on the camera and Devudi Patala directed the first shot of the film.
Later, Anil Sunkara took to his Twitter page to inform about Aagadu launch. The producer tweeted, "Puja of our super star'sAAGADU held today. We thank our superstar,our beloved director @SreenuVaitla for putting the trust in us." He added, "As our director indicated AAGADU will see a new dimension of our superstar in a mass role which will 100% entertain class & mass. Super fans, get ready to celebrate festivals one after other next year. I meant every release is gonna b a festival."

Mahesh, Tamanna Skip Aagadu Launch
Mahesh Babu is playing the lead role in the movie Aagadu, while Tamanna Bhatia, who is teaming up with Prince for the first time, appears as his love interest in it. Both of them gave a miss to the launch of the film.
Srinu Vaitla Joins Hands With Mahesh Again
Srinu Vaitla, who has earlier worked with Mahesh Babu in Dookudu, is once again teaming up with the Superstar for Aagadu. Besides direction, he has also penned story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. He says that the movie will be mass entertainer and will feature Prince in a brand new way.
Aagadu Producers
Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara have produced Mahesh Babu's Dookudu and 1: Nenokkadine. Now, they are teaming up with the Superstar for the third time. They will produce Aagadu with a whopping budget under the banner 14 Reels Entertainments Pvt Ltd.
Aagadu Cast And Crew
Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam, who have worked with Mahesh Babu in several movies in the past, will play important roles in the film Aagadu, which will have SS Thaman's music, KV Guhan's cinematography, KS Prakash's art direction and MR Varma's editing.
Aagadu Shooting And Release Date
Launched in Hyderabad today, the movie Aagadu will start its regular shooting from November 15 and will be wrapped up by the end of April in 2014. The makers are planning to release it in May as summer special.
