Prakash Raj's nude pose cost Ongole Gitta 'A' certificate?

Hyderabad: Director Bhaskar's latest venture Ongole Gitta, starring Ram Pothineni and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead has received 'A' certificate from the Regional Censor Board. The producers, who were expecting to get a U/A certificate, were shocked to know about the Censors' decision. Sources from the Board say that the movie has got this certificate due to Prakash Raj's nude appearance.

Ongole Gitta is a romantic action movie with all commercial elements and Ram is appearing in a mass role. The makers of the film were trying to get a U/A certificate. But the censor disagreed their demand as it has a few objectionable scenes, which include Prakash Raj's nude appearance. Although the scene has been blurred, the Censor Board insisted on deleting the scene to get a U/A certificate.

Hero Ram, who has been shocked by the Censors' certification of Ongole Gitta, says that there are no objectionable scenes in the movie. On his Twitter, the actor writes, "#ONGOLEGITHA ki A certificate a?" ani SHOCK avuthunna vaalu andharu Cinema Chusaka kuda Adhey antaaru ;p ibbandhi pattey scenes emi levu :) (sic)"

Ongole Gitta is produced by BVSN Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. The movie, which has GV Prakash Kumar's music, Mani Sharma's background score and A Venkatesh's cinematography, is scheduled to release on February 1. Ram has pinned lots of hope it. However, it remains to be seen how the viewers will receive the film.
