Sampath replaced Harish in Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh 2?

Hyderabad: Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh has become one of the all-time highest grosser movies in Telugu. Ever since it hit the screens, there has been news doing the rounds about a sequel to this Blockbuster movie. It was also speculated that director Harish Shankar would team up with the Power Star again for Gabbar Singh 2. But the latest we hear is that director Sampath Nandi has replaced Harish in this project.

It was rumoured earlier that Sampath Nandi, who has helmed Ram Charan's Racha, would direct Pawan Kalyan in his second directorial venture. Now, a source close to the Power Star claim that the actor has asked Sampath to work on the sequel to Gabbar Singh. But the source has no clue about why Pawan ditched Harish Shankar, who has given him the biggest break of his career and gave it away to Sampath.

Meanwhile, it is also reported that Gabbar Singh 2 will not be produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu as rumoured earlier. Instead, Pawan Kalyan's Sharath Marar will produce this much-hyped project. It is said that Pawan is upset with Ganesh's negative statement at a recent public event. Hence, he has given this project to his friend. Kajal Aggarwal will be one of the female leads in the film.
