Shruti Hassan To Replace Tamanna In Mahesh Babu's Film Aagadu

Actress Shruti Hassan has reportedly been approached for the role which was originally offered to Tamanna Bhatia in upcoming Telugu action-drama Aagadu featuring Superstar Mahesh Babu, says a source from the industry.

"Shruti's name has come up for the lead role in Aagadu. However, nothing has been confirmed yet as Srinu Vaitla (director) has to take the final call. We should have some clarity in a couple of weeks," a source close to the director told.

Tamanna was finalised for the role a few months ago, but since Shruti is the most sought after actress in Telugu industry, she is being considered for the role.

While Tamanna's last four Telugu films failed to rake in the moolah at the Box-Office, Shruti struck gold with her films such as Gabbar Singh and Balupu.

Aagadu, which is expected to go on floors by November, will bring together Srinu Vaitla and Mahesh Babu for the second time after Telugu blockbuster Dookudu.

Meanwhile, Shruti is awaiting the release of Telugu romantic-drama Ramayya Vasthavayya.
