Sonakshi Sinha confirms her Telugu debut with Mahesh Babu's Shivam

Hyderabad: It was rumoured recently that Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha would debut in Telugu films with Superstar Mahesh Babu's film, which has been tentatively titled Shivam. Now, the Dabangg girl herself has confirmed the news and says that she could not reject this offer. The daughter of Shatrughan Sinha has all praise for the director of the film, whom she describes as intelligent.

The elated Sonakshi Sinha took to her Twitter page to share her excitement over her Telugu debut. The actress tweeted, "Wow! Lots of support from the south for my telegu debut - thanks guys!! Really looking forward to it... Feels like dabangg dejavu - debut with superstar, script I couldnt refuse, capable and intelligent director! Shoot starts later this year.. it's going to be a great journey :)"

Shivam is going to be a period drama and it will be a big budget production. Director Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi, who is scored a hit with Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, will helm this movie, which will be produced by Ashwini Dutt under his own production house. Krish has almost completed the scripting work for the movie and he is expected to begin its shooting after Mahesh Babu wraps up his current project with director Sukumar.
