slammed
the
reports
stating
that
she
has
signed
Telugu
superstar
Mahesh
Babu's
forthcoming
movie
Aagadu,
which
is
directed
by
Srinu
Vaitla.
It
was
rumoured
that
the
B-Town
girl
would
foray
into
Telugu
films
through
Prince's
movie
and
she
has
been
roped
in
to
play
the
female
lead
opposite
him.
The
rumours
started
doing
rounds
after
a
leading
English
daily
reported
that
writer
Kona
Venkat
has
confirmed
Sonam
Kapoor's
casting
for
Aagadu.
"Yes,
we
have
roped
in
Sonam
Kapoor
for
this
film
and
Mahesh
Babu
is
confirmed
too.
We
are
going
to
narrate
the
rest
of
the
story
to
Mahesh
Babu
soon," the
newspaper
quoted
his
Twitter
post.
But
Kona
Venkat's
latest
tweet
states
that
the
name
of
Sonam
Kapoor
is
being
considered
for
the
film
but
not
finalised
yet.
The
writer
tweeted,
"For
"Aagadu"
dir
Sreenu
Vaitla
&
producers
are
contemplating
on
many
heroines
and
sonam
Kapoor
is
one
of
them.
Nothing
is
confirmed
yet."
He
added,
"In
fact
no
one
is
confirmed
yet
including
me
for
Aagadu.
So
pl
don't
speculate
anything
plsssssss.."
However,
Aagudu
is
produced
by
Anil
Sunkara,
Gopichand
and
Ram
Achanta,
who
had
earlier
produced
Dookudu
under
14
Reels
Entertainments.
The
film
is
still
in
pre-production
stages.
Mahesh
Babu
is
expected
to
take
its
shooting
after
wrapping
Sukumar's
untitled
project.
Earlier,
it
was
also
rumoured
that
Sonakshi
Sinha
would
pair
with
the
Tollywood
superstar.
