Photos: Srikanth's Children To Play Key Roles In Rudhramadevi

Telugu actor Meka Srikanth is all set to introduce his son Roshan and daughter Medha to film industry. Yes! They are making their debut in Tollywood with Telugu movie Rudhramadevi. They will be seen playing important roles in director Gunasekhar's upcoming period-drama and are being trained in horse riding for their roles.

Talking to IANS, Gunasekhar confirmed the news about the debut of Meka Srikanth's children in his film Rudhramadevi. The director said, "Roshan and Medha will play the younger version of the lead protagonists of that of Rana and Anushka. We will soon start shooting scenes with them and until then they are being trained in horse riding."

While Roshan will be seen playing the young version Veerabhadra Chalukya, originally being played by Rana Daggubati, Srikanth's daughter Medha will be seen essaying young Rani Rudhramadevi, which is played by Anushka Shetty. The film, which is being shot in 3D, is touted to be India's first stereoscopic project. It also features Prakash Raj, Nathalia Kaur, Baba Sehegal and Aditi Chengappa in important roles.

Maestro Illayaraja has been roped in compose the music of the film, which has art direction by Thota Tharani and costumes by Neeta Lulla. Gunasekhar, who is also producing the film, says they have completed two schedules of the film. The director said, "We have completed about 45 percent of the shoot. We are two schedules down and the third one will start from the first week of August."

Srikanth was born and brought up in Koppal, Karnataka. He is B.Com graduate from Karnataka University, Dharwad. Srikanth is married to Ooha and has two sons, Roshan and Rohan and a daughter Medha.

Before turning a hero, Srikanth essayed minor roles as villain and supporting artiste in his earlier career. So far, he has starred in more than 100 Telugu films.
