Filmmaker
SS
Rajamouli's
mega-budget
Telugu-Tamil
bilingual
period-drama
Baahubali,
which
has
been
in
pre-production
phase
for
nearly
a
year
now,
is
set
to
go
on
floors
here
July
6.
A
lot
of
time
was
spent
training
the
film's
lead
cast,
which
features
Anushka
Shetty,
Prabhas
and
Rana
Daggubati,
in
sword-fighting
and
horse
riding
over
the
past
few
months.
"After
almost
one
year
of
extensive
pre-production
and
planning,
(I'm)
pleased
and
excited
to
announce
the
start
of
shooting
of
Baahubali
from
July
6," the
film's
producer
Shobu
Yarlagadda
posted
on
his
Twitter
page.
This
will
be
Rajamouli's
first
full-length
digital
film.
"I
shot
very
few
shots
with
digital
cameras
in
Eega
(and,
therefore)
Baahubali
will
be
my
first
fully
digitally
shot
film,"
posted
Rajamouli
on
Twitter.
Even
though
the
film
will
be
shot
in
Telugu
and
Tamil,
it
will
be
released
in
Hindi,
Malayalam
and
a
few
foreign
languages
too.
Rajamouli
also
clarified
that
the
film
is
not
being
made
in
IMAX.
"(I'm
hearing)
lots
of
rumours
regarding
Baahubali
being
shot
on
IMAX
cameras.
No,
we
are
not!
We
are
using
Arri
Alexa
XT," he
added.
The
reasons
for
not
using
IMAX
camera
is
cost
and
shortage
of
equipment.
"(IMAX
cameras)
are
very
expensive.
There
are
only
six
IMAX
cameras
that
are
manufactured
and
heavy
competition
for
their
booking," said
Rajamouli.
The
film
is
also
being
produced
by
Prasad
Devineni
and
K.
Raghavendra
Rao,
while
MM
Keeravani
will
compose
the
music.
