Child actor Narla Teja found dead in Rishikesh

Hyderabad: Telugu child actor Narla Teja was found dead and his body has been recovered at the Sai ghat in Rishikesh today. The 17-year-old star was gone missing near Lakshman Jhula a week ago, while taking a dip in the river Ganges. The shocking news of Teja's death has left his family shattered.

Narla Teja was pursuing his inter 2nd year at Mir Piri Academy in Amritsar and was said to have gone to Rishikesh for a Yoga conference along with 15 other students. While trying to take a dip on March 5, he drowned in Ganges due to deep waters. A rescue team was pressed into action to trace his body. The police have found his dead body near Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh. They would hand over it soon after the formalities are completed.

The child actor is the son of popular Tollywood cinematographer N Sridhar. Teja's parents, who live at Motinagar near Borabanda in Hyderabad, were hoping to see him alive. Now, they are in a state of shock after hearing the news. His body is expected to reach the city tomorrow after the post-mortem.

However, Narla Teja has acted in several hit Telugu movies like Murari, Ramadandu and Kathanayakudu. He had won the heart of the film goers here with his superb performance. The news about his sudden death has shocked everyone in the state.
