Toofan trailer will be a birthday gift for Ram Charan: Apoorva

Hyderabad: Ram Charan Teja's next outing Toofan, which is the Telugu version of his debut Bollywood movie Zanjeer, is one of the most-awaited and highly-talked about film in Tollywood. The makers of this big ticket flick are now making grand plans for the release of the trailer of the remake of the 1973 cult Hindi film. The teaser would be launched as a birthday gift to Cherry on March 27.

Apoorva Lakhia, who is directing Ram Charan Teja in the movie Zanjeer, has confirmed the news on his official Twitter page. On March 19, the Bollywood director tweeted, "Planning a big launch for the teaser and trailer of Toofan on Charan's birthday in Hyderabad. Cutting, snipping background score, grading. Full power." Meanwhile, he added, "Hindi trailer/teaser of #Zanjeer will follow two days after the release of Toofan."

However, it is a bilingual movie, which is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. Ram Charan Teja is playing a police office in the film Toofan. The movie also happens to be the debut Telugu film of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who is playing the female lead alongside Cherry in it. Popular actors like Prakash Raj, Srihari and Sanjay Dutt are playing important roles in the flick.

This bilingual flick is produced by Apoorva Lakhia and Amit Mehra. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music, while Gururaj Jois cranks the camera for Toofan, which is expected to hit the screens across the globe on May 10, 2013.
