I don't make films in a hurry: Vamsi

Hyderabad: Having made 24 Telugu films in a little over three decades, Southern director Vamsi is currently busy working on his 25th movie Love, which is a romantic-drama. The director says that he never makes films in a hurry. He wants to get a satisfying output. Which is why he has taken long time for his latest directorial venure.

Talking to IANS, Vamsi says, "I don't see the need to make films in a hurry because I am not competing with anybody. What is most important is that one could take all the time during pre-production phase of a film, but not after having started working on the project." The director added, "Moreover, If I'm concerned about giving a satisfying output, then I may as well take time before I start working on the film."

Vamsi has spent nearly two years on the screenplay for Love. When asked about this long duration, he says, "My last film didn't do well at the box-office and, therefore, I decided to take time in penning down my next script and I believe it was worth it. We have already started shooting and will most likely wrap up soon."

Ajmal Ameer plays the lead in the film Love, which features five debutante heroines. The actor says, "We have completed about two weeks of shooting in Hyderabad. Vamsi sir is taking efforts to mix good proportion of romance and drama into the narrative. The story is set in a small colony in Andhra Pradesh."

However, Telugu movie Love is being produced by Poorna. Chakri has been roped in to compose the music of the film, which has the cinematography of MV Raghu. The movie is expected to hit the screens very soon.
