Hyderabad:
In
a
bid
to
attract
viewers
across
the
world
to
watch
the
recently
released
director
Radha
Mohan's
Tamil-Telugu
bilingual
movie
Gouravam,
its
makers
have
made
the
film
accessible
online.
The
interested
viewers
can
watch
the
Allu
Sirish
and
Yami
Gautam
starrer
for
a
price
of
$5.
However,
this
offer
is
to
open
to
all
countries
except
India
and
the
US.
Talking
to
IANS,
Radha
Mohan
said,
"I
believe
it's
a
wonderful
initiative
to
promote
a
film
beyond
borders.
We
didn't
want
to
include
India
and
the
US
because
the
film
is
already
running
in
these
places
and
it
would
be
unethical
on
our
part
to
release
it
here." He
added,
"If
this
model
proves
successful,
then
sooner
or
later
producers
are
going
to
follow.
We
don't
know
how
this
will
turn
out
to
be,
but
we
are
hoping
for
a
positive
result."
Gouravam,
both
in
Tamil
or
Telugu,
can
be
watched
online
at
www.prakashrajlive.com.
Upon
payment
of
$5,
viewers
will
have
24
hours
to
watch
the
film.
Radha
Mohan
said,
"Most
Tamil
or
Telugu
films
are
released
in
prominent
foreign
locations
such
as
the
US
and
Canada.
But,
there
are
so
many
Tamilians
and
Andhrites
in
other
countries
as
well
who
wish
to
watch
our
films.
To
release
films
in
these
countries
will
be
expensive
and,
therefore,
such
an
initiative
will
benefit
the
producer."
The
film
Gouravam
is
all
about
racial
discrimination
and
honour
killing.
Besides
direction,
Radha
Mohan
has
also
penned
the
story
and
screenplay
for
the
movie,
which
has
been
produced
by
Prakash
Raj.
Released
on
April
19,
the
movie
features
Allu
Sirish
and
Yami
Gautam
in
the
lead
roles.
