Badri Pictures: Renu Desai Recalls Her First Meeting With Pawan Kalyan

Director Puri Jagannath's Telugu movie Badri is one of the big hit films of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. An interesting fact about this movie is that it marked the acting debut of the actor's ex-wife Renu Desai and Amisha Patesl, who played the two female leads in the film, which was released in theatres on April 20, 2000. On its fifteenth anniversary, Renu Desai, who is now producing Marathi films, recalls her first meeting with her ex-hubby Pawan.

On Sunday (April 20), Renu Desai took to her official Facebook page to talk about her meeting with Pawan Kalyan. She posted, "Today 14yrs ago on 20th april Badri released.Badri fun fact:) 6th june'99 i met mr.PK for the 1st time in Ramanaidu studio.he was shooting Thammadu climax fight...almost 15yrs ago... I was supposed to do Sarayu's role &Simran was doing Venella's role.she had date problems&i ended up doing Venella.rest u all know:) sic."

Badri is a romance drama that revolves around the triangular love story of Badri, Vennela and Sarayu. Pawan Kalyan, Renu Desai and Ameesha Patel have played these roles respectively. The movie has become one of the most memorable romantic Telugu movies. Many film goers responded to Renu Desai's post on Facebook and recalled her wonderful chemistry and Pawan Kalyan.

While some regretted the break up between Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai, a few hoped that they would reunite soon. Meanwhile, a few even dared to request the actress to reconcile with her ex-husband and comeback to big screen.
