Director
Praveen
Sataru's
upcoming
Telugu
movie
Chandamama
Kathalu,
which
has
been
delayed
for
some
days,
is
finally
scheduled
to
release
in
theatres
worldwide
on
April
25.
Confirming
the
release
date,
Chanakya
Bhooneti,
who
is
one
of
the
producers
of
the
film,
said
that
its
release
was
postponed
due
to
unavailability
of
enough
amount
of
screens.
Chandamama
Kathalu
is
touted
as
the
first
Telugu
anthology
film.
Chanakya
Bhooneti
told
IANS,
"The
film
was
originally
supposed
to
come
out
in
March,
but
since
we
couldn't
get
a
good
number
of
theatres,
we
had
to
postpone
the
release.
The
film
has
been
locked
for
April
25
and
it
will
release."
Featuring
an
ensemble
cast
of
Lakshmi
Manchu,
Aamani,
Naresh,
Krishnudu
and
Chaitanya
Krishna,
the
film
has
been
titled
after
the
children's
book
of
the
same
name.
"I
grew
up
listening
to
Chandamama
Kathalu.
My
grandmother
used
to
read
them
to
me
and
I
fondly
remember
them
for
the
collection
of
stories
in
them."
Praveen
Sataru
added,
"I
decided
to
name
my
film
after
the
book
because
my
story
is
about
the
day-to-day
experiences
of
multiple
characters.
There
are
multiple
small
stories
in
the
larger
story
of
my
film.
I
thought
this
title
would
perfectly
fit
the
bill,
and
therefore,
I
named
it
after
the
book."
