Srinu
Vaitla's
latest
directorial
venture
Aagadu,
which
released
in
theatres
on
September
19,
has
concluded
the
first
weekend
with
a
fantastic
collection
at
the
worldwide
Box
Office.
But
the
Mahesh
Babu
and
Tamanna
Bhatia
starrer
action
comedy
film,
which
released
in
record
number
of
screens
worldwide,
has
failed
to
beat
the
three-day
collection
record
of
Pawan
Kalyan's
Attarintiki
Daredi.
Aagadu
set
the
new
record
overseas
by
hitting
250+
screens
in
the
international
markets.
It
released
in
a
total
of
2000+
theatres
worldwide
on
Friday.
Its
pre-release
promotions
helped
the
film
register
huge
amount
of
advance
ticket
booking
for
the
first
day.
With
this,
the
movie
opened
to
an
overwhelming
response
and
fetched
record
breaking
numbers
in
different
areas
across
the
globe
on
the
first
day.
Having
garnered
mixed
opinions
from
the
viewers,
Aagadu
witnessed
downfall
in
its
business
on
Saturday.
Though
its
collection
went
up
on
Sunday,
it
was
not
upto
the
expected
mark.
The
movie
has
collected
approximately
30.05+
crores
nett
at
the
AP
and
Telangana
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
10.80
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
8.75
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
10.50
cr
on
Sun.
Attarintiki
Daredi,
which
had
collected
Rs
33
crores
in
the
states
has
been
the
highest
grosser
Telugu
movie
in
the
first
weekend.
Since
Aagadu
released
in
large
number
of
screens,
trade
experts
had
predicted
that
it
would
smash
the
record
of
the
Pawan
Kalyan
starrer,
but
it
has
failed
to
do
so.
The
makers
of
Aagadu
are
yet
to
reveal
the
numbers
of
its
collection
in
Karnataka,
Tamil
Nadu,
North
India
and
overseas.
As
per
the
trends,
the
movie
has
collected
more
than
10
crores
in
these
areas
in
the
first
weekend.
Its
three-day
collection
is
expected
to
be
more
than
40
crores

the
worldwide

Made
with
a
budget
of
Rs
55
crores,
Aagadu
has
fetched
Rs
75
crores
from
its
pre-release
business.
The
movie
could
not
become
the
highest
grosser
Telugu
movie
in
the
first
weekend,
but
it
has
set
several
new
collection
records
in
various
regions.
