Srinu Vaitla's latest directorial venture Aagadu, which released in theatres on September 19, has concluded the first weekend with a fantastic collection at the worldwide Box Office. But the Mahesh Babu and Tamanna Bhatia starrer action comedy film, which released in record number of screens worldwide, has failed to beat the three-day collection record of Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daredi.
Aagadu set the new record overseas by hitting 250+ screens in the international markets. It released in a total of 2000+ theatres worldwide on Friday. Its pre-release promotions helped the film register huge amount of advance ticket booking for the first day. With this, the movie opened to an overwhelming response and fetched record breaking numbers in different areas across the globe on the first day.
Having garnered mixed opinions from the viewers, Aagadu witnessed downfall in its business on Saturday. Though its collection went up on Sunday, it was not upto the expected mark. The movie has collected approximately 30.05+ crores nett at the AP and Telangana Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 10.80 cr on Fri, Rs 8.75 cr on Sat and Rs 10.50 cr on Sun.
Attarintiki Daredi, which had collected Rs 33 crores in the states has been the highest grosser Telugu movie in the first weekend. Since Aagadu released in large number of screens, trade experts had predicted that it would smash the record of the Pawan Kalyan starrer, but it has failed to do so.
The makers of Aagadu are yet to reveal the numbers of its collection in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, North India and overseas. As per the trends, the movie has collected more than 10 crores in these areas in the first weekend. Its three-day collection is expected to be more than 40 crores at the worldwide Box Office.
Made with a budget of Rs 55 crores, Aagadu has fetched Rs 75 crores from its pre-release business. The movie could not become the highest grosser Telugu movie in the first weekend, but it has set several new collection records in various regions. We bring you the details of those records. Superstar Mahesh Babu's Aagadu has become the all time biggest opener in Nizam with its first day share Rs 3.45 crore. It has beaten the record of Attarintiki Daredi, which was topping the list with its opening day collection Rs 3.35 crores in the area.

Aagadu has collected Rs 1.57 crore in Guntur region on the first day. Trade experts call it the all time record.

Aagadu has raked in Rs 1.01 in West Godavari on the first day of its release and become the all time biggest opener in the area.

Released in 78 screens in new district Bhimavaram, Aagadu ran to packed to house in all the theatres and has grossed Rs 23.04 lakhs on the first day.

Aagadu has collected Rs 15.26 lakhs in Ongole on the first day and and has become the all time record in the town.
Aagadu Beats AD Record In USA
Aagadu has collected $1.3 million at the USA in three days (Thu-Sat) and smashed the record of Attarintiki Daredi, which had raked in $1.29 million.
