It is already known that Telugu actors Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna have been roped in to star in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming big ticket movie, which will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. The latest buzz is that Prince will romance Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has reportedly given her consent to play the female lead role in this untitled bilingual film.
It was Mani Ratnam, who introduced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the film industry through his Tamil film Iruvar. The filmmaker, who shares great equation with her, wanted none, but Aish play the female lead in forthcoming movie. Hence, he has reportedly approached the actress with offer and she has agreed to be part of this mega-budget project, which would mark her second innings in the film industry.
Not much is known about the story and lead characters of Mani Ratnam's upcoming film. But it is rumoured that the movie has a very strong female protagonist's character. Reports also suggest that Aishwarya Rai will be seen playing a negative role. "You will see her in a new avatar," Times of India quotes a source as saying.
